HOW to SUBSCRIBE to APPLE MUSIC: BUY APPS on APP STORE and GOOGLE PLAY STORE| AMAZON and OTHER INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTIONS in NIGERIA / KENYA / GHANA

For quite some time, the Federal Government has disabled Nigerian Naira MasterCard and VISA cards from making international transactions, Quite frustrating being an Apple user or an International shopper, Well! there is a solution to this.

Barter help user from Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya create Virtual US MasterCard for international purchases and transactions, You cards are funded from your Naira debit cards or straight from your bank account, Cool Yeah?
Cards are valid for as long as you have funds in them. Honestly, I don't know the limits on these cards.

Okay, let's get to the 10 pictorial steps.

Prerequisites:

A valid VISA/VERVE/ MasterCard

An Email Address and the Phone number linked to your account must be active.

Hardware/Software Token for Banks that require them

and of-course funds must be in your account.

Step 1: goto Barter and signup as seen below.

Step 2: Sign Up

Step 3: Confirm your Email address or Phone number used in Signing up by entering the code sent to you either by text or mail, Please check your Junk/Spam mail if you don't see the verification mail in 60 seconds.

Step 4: After verification and logging in, you will be taken straight to the wallet tab, click the "got it and be taken to the "Cards"tab.

Step 5: In the Card tab, You are prompted to create a Virtual "MasterCard", Starting with naming your virtual card.

Step 6: Fill in your card name, the amount in USD you wish to fund your card and the equivalent in your local currency will be displayed at the bottom left of the screen, select regular for continuous card usage, select the currency you will be charged from, with respect to your country where your bank account was opened.

Step 7: Select card type or Bank as suitable to you.

Step 8: Fill in your card details carefully to avoid been declined, Chose Verve, you can choose MasterCard, Those Using GTbank cards will require Token code, verve users will receive OTP code on the phone number linked to the bank account. or you can choose the bank option

Step 9: If successful, your virtual card will be set up and funded instantly, like below, tap the card to view the card number.

Step 10: Tap the 3 parallel white columns at the top right corner of the card and go to settings to view the billing address, tap to CVV code in front to reveal the CVV code.

Finally, Your virtual US MasterCard has been setup, Phew!

For App Store users, don't panic about the phone number, look for any US area code and add 7 other digits to it. ie 212-1234567 should do the trick.

NB: this card is only valid on US App Store, So you have to change your Store location before you can enter this card details, See: How to switch my App Store to US.

Update: Barter recently added CHARGES :(

Barter Card Fee N500 and Wallet funding Fee N100 total N600 for new users, regular users will be charged N100 every time their wallets are topped up.
